What I Offer
Here at Lake Isle Counselling I want to help my clients by giving them the practical skills they need not only during their sessions but also in their every day lives. I recognise the importance of addressing my clients psychological, emotional and spiritual being. I provide a range of services, As counsellors and psychotherapists, we focus on raising people’s personal understanding of how they exist in the world and connect with themselves and others.
Due to traumatic events, we may lose our sense of ‘self’, resulting in a sense of ‘something missing’ and the formation of less fulfilling or even toxic relationships with ourselves and others. Increasing personal awareness leads to growth, choice, and change. To begin the healing process, we will focus on your personal goals and provide structure to the therapy. I will help you develop new skills to deal with your challenges.
The therapy that I offer is for:
My Approach
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I am an integrative therapist which means that I believe there isn’t just one therapeutic approach that can help a client in all situations. Each client is unique and may therefore need different things from therapy.
In order to fulfil my client’s particular requirements, I draw upon a range of various therapy methodologies and understandings, including Person-centred Therapy, Psychodynamic and Humanistic therapy and Attachment theory. I see my duty as encouraging a deeper understanding of the issues and providing space for the client to work through their obstacles in order to live the life they want.
